New Song-Things Like This by Nova1322 (Things Like This PART 1)

PART 1

I'm currently working on a new song titled, 

" Things Like This."  (available on Spotify now)

It's about being born again. 

I wont assume people know

what this means, because most don't. So I'll explain it in detail as I complete my song in the coming weeks. 

Born again is really not that simple to understand. In fact, the bible says a teacher of the Tora, (the old testament book of the Bible) 

would walk through the fields privately, into the towns, risking his reputation to reach Jesus to ask Him about this REBIRTH!

"What do You mean, when You say, "'one must be born again to enter the Kingdom of Heaven?"' How can one go back into his mothers womb and be born again?" Nicodemus asked.

Jesus was surprised that a Teacher of Gods Law didn't know what this meant. He then responded by telling him what it was and what it wasn't. 

Obviously, it's not when someone comes out of their mother's womb for the first time. But when someone is born from the Spirt of God.

Nicodemus asked Him, "HOW..." but Jesus didn't go into detail. 

We might envision how it happens - but we cannot see the second birth taking place. 

When and where the rebirth happens however, can be seen, recorded and journaled. This is someone's personal story and it is power! These stories are called testimonies and  they are mainly used as weapons against the enemy of our souls 

and also to encourage others.

Here's a little bit of my when and where:

This was my living room window. And one night in 1999 around 2:00am I came home. As soon as I put my kids to sleep I went in my room and I gave my life to Jesus.

I lived here for two years and my boyfriend,
which I 'd only known for a year, was living with me.

Hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and learning more about Him though the radio is what led me to surrender that night in 1999.

One night around 10:00pm my boyfriend was cooking and we needed something to drink so I offered to go to the Liquor store and buy some soda.

Soon as I turned my key in the ignition, I heard static through the car speakers.

I thought either my kids, or my boyfriend had been messing with my stereo...

But I thought, 'I wonder what my boyfriend is listening to.'

I became focused to get a clear signal...carefully turning the knob, until I finally heard music clearly. 

I liked it!

I put it on REVERSE and off I went!

But It wasn't until I bought the soda from the liquor store and went back inside my car that I realized it was Christian music. 

 I started hearing Jesus in the lyrics. 

And I thought about my boyfriend. 

'Wow, he's really good.' 

I was amazed at what was happening in those few minutes. Something was happening!

Well...

It turned out, it wasn't my boyfriend who messed with my stereo at all. 

In fact, when I asked him about it and observed his face, I knew, it was an Angel from heaven and all of it, was for me.

After that, I started searching for other similar stations.

There had to be more! 

And that's when I found the Calvary Station.

I struck GOLD!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ was being PREACHED.

After hearing about Jesus for months at a time I realized, 'I'm a sinner! 

And I need to surrender.'

But I didn't!

But eventually I did!

And that's my when and where (in a nutshell)...my story!

The Why...well, the WHY is purely LIFE. And this is called the Gospel. It explains exactly why one must be born again? This can be fully explained by anyone who has been born again and once this is taught properly and thoroughly, people have a better opportunity to become NEW through the second birth. 

My new song, "Things Like This," captures some of these things but my hope is for it to convey the importance and the beauty of this undeserving gift through the Holy Spirit.
